This is my son Jack and for the last two days he has had a high fever and sore throat (good times over at my house)! I just picked up his antibiotics and he is now on the road to recovery. Although I went to give him his first dose and he spilled the entire thing, it's going to be a fun day!

Good morning...

I absolutely love breakfast and when the weekend rolls around I look forward to my entire family sitting around the table enjoying yummy pancakes, eggs, bacon and of course coffee. I go to bed some nights and as my head hits the pillow I think; "I can't wait to get up and have a cup of coffee"! On the off chance that my husband would take us out, can anyone recommend an awesome place in the lower Westchester area to get a delicious breakfast?

Ring ring...

My sister just returned from South America and brought me the most amazing cocktail rings! While vacationing in the beautiful city of Bogotá, Colombia she shopped her heart out, from adorable party dresses for my three year old daughter to these cool rings, the souvenirs from her trip did not disappoint. I will be planning my trip with my family asap!

Sweet treats...

This morning I whipped up a batch of Biscotti cookies for a good friend, I love this recipe but I put my own little spin on it by swapping out the anise for vanilla extract. In the words of Yo Gabba Gabba, Try it, you just might like it!

I was perusing through the pages of New York Magazine, the Home Design Spring 2010 Edition and found interior designers Lyndsay Caleo and Fitzhugh Karol's Brooklyn home and I found a few things I like...The classic Verner Panton dining chairs would totally rock my world in my own dining room! Also loving this white medicine cabinet in the bathroom from Cappellini, very cool!

I love a sign that pretty much says it all, EAT,  can't get any clearer than that! This comes from Sundance Catalog, adds a very nice touch to any kitchen or dining room. They also make one that says GATHER! Sweet sentiments to make any home feel warm.

I love that I can just go outside my door and literally pick my own flowers from my very own garden!

Another cool accessory from Rachel Roy! This Octopus Ring is absolutely amazing, check out her entire collection, the jewelry is super funky and her scarves for summer have the most amazing colors that make you just want to smile.

I first read about this site from madebygirl blog, they are Rock Paper Scissors, and they have the greatest stationary. I am loving their personalized super sized notepads. The designs are so cool they'll make you want to write notes all the time. It's nice to be old school every once in awhile!

Mexican dinner, family style...

I am a devoted GOOP follower and have gotten some great recipes from GP. Tonight I actually made this Mexican dinner and it was super easy and quite tasty! 

Sleepy time...

I recently loaned out my crib to a family member and now my daughters room is empty and I need to get her a bed. Although she has unofficially moved into her brothers room (they just like being together) she does love having her own room. I came across this bed from IKEA and I thinks its darling for a little girls room. Now I just need to get myself over there to buy it!

A good cause...

My dear friend is very involved with iMentor, an organization that reaches out to young people in under-served communities who need mentors that provide guidance through innovative, technology based approaches. Tomorrow night, June 3rd, New York City is marking iMentors 10 Year Anniversary by lighting the Empire State Building in iMentor's signature orange. Look for the tribute!

My new summer drink...

This past weekend I fell in love, with a new cocktail! My friend Marvin introduced me to Lillet, a French aperitif wine traditionally served over ice with an orange twist. Our drinks also had a splash of club soda and it was oh so yummy, we've nicknamed it "the Marvytail", I had three (Jack and Salma who?). This shimmery, golden colored wine was a little taste of heaven! Here's to a good summer, chin chin!
