Treats de España...

These are so yummy, the perfect companion with a cup of tea, hot chocolate or coffee. They hail from Spain and I found them in my local Stop & Shop of all places. The individually wrapped tortas de aceite (olive oil biscuits) are light and flaky with a hint of sweetness, makes for a perfect snack!

Start your day off with a party...

I recently attended a Stella & Dot jewelry party, one of the perks of being a stay at home mom is being able to attend a party at 9am. After dropping my son off at school I headed over to the party. My mommy friend Tara graciously hosted, her home was the perfect backdrop to showcase such beautiful baubles. The party was a family affair, Tara's sister in law Sheila was the party stylist. Although I will deny it to my husband I did indeed purchase two lovely pieces, the signature clover necklace and baby flower post earrings for my three year old daughter (something for everyone). We enjoyed coffee, cake, good company and shopping, what more could a girl ask for...well maybe more time- my other mommy friend Margaret and I were late picking up our kids from school.

This microcrystal skin refinisher comes from good skin, sold at Kohl's - I recommend you run out and stock up! Take a stand...

My new obsession, cake stands! I don't just like them, I A-D-O-R-E them. They are so pretty and really make your sweet confections look that much better. I personally own six now, my most recent purchase was a turquoise cake stand - which is another one of my obsessions, the color turquoise! You can find them just about anywhere from HomeGoods to Target.

And the Winner is...

This is my husband Nicholas whom I absolutely adore, we are married six years and together 16 years- he is a wonderful husband and the most incredible father. I always see contests in magazines for "Sexiest Dad" and my intentions are to always submit his picture, but I never do...anyway consider this my contest and first place goes to him!

We can change the world, one sandwich at a time...

I saw this book and thought; my sweet Salma must have this(Jack too of course). The book comes from Her Majesty, Queen Rania who was inspired by her own experience.  As written by Kelly Dipuchio, it is a warm-hearted and gently humorous fable about two girls who become aware of their subtle cultural differences, only to have their friendship strengthened as a result. Her Majesty travels the world promoting children’s causes as well as cross-cultural understanding and tolerance.

The book follows two best friends, Lily and Salma. They play together and stick together through thick and thin. But who would have ever thought that ordinary peanut butter or plain old hummus could come between them? Lily and Salma don’t quite understand each other’s tastes, but does that mean they can't be friends? They understand far better than a lot of grown ups that these things hardly matter and that friendship is the most important thing of all.

Now that's a lesson I want to share with my children!

Oh sweet dreams...

What a life it would be if you could dream in cupcakes and candy...how can you not smile when you see something like this!  I have two small children and years of birthday parties ahead of me and I could only wish to do something this AWESOME!  Event Planner/dream maker Amy Atlas does this for a living and her creations(as shown above) are just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  My dear friend Cathy-who is super creative, had a goody bar at her wedding and it totally ROCKED the Kasbah... sing it now - "I Want Candy"

Kiehl's Gives Back...

I have these friends, lets just call them Ashley and Arthur and they just had a baby girl! I went over to meet the baby and Oh man my uterus just screamed "have another one" but that is not the reason for my blog today. They have the most amazing amenities in their bathroom, I'm talking 5 star - lotions and potions to fulfill ANY need! First let me start by saying they have a double counter sink so just imagine the goods you can partake in, one in particular was divine- Keihl's Limited Edition Acai damage- protecting toning mist I became intoxicated, I must of spritzed at least eight times! The best part is if you purchase this item 100% of Kiehl's net profits up to $200,000 will benefit The Rainforest Alliance. Feel good and DO good!

Summer must have...

I am really excited about the summer romper and even more excited that I found this at Target! What else is there to say...
