Apple extravaganza...

This weekend we did our annual apple picking with the grandparents. We headed up to the Hudson Valley to Barton Orchards and the kiddies had a blast. The next few weeks will be filled with apple pie, apple sauce and apple juice.

Good Eats...

I was reading my GOOP and saw this. Super excited about the new Mario Batali venture, Eataly, grocery store/restaurant. Genius! The hubby and I have been to a few of Batali's restaurants and loved each one. Now I can eat and then shop. Another perk is that the Mr. works in that area, so perhaps if he is reading my blog today he will bring me home a surprise?

All wrapped up...

I am smitten with scarves and think its even cuter on the little ones. Last year I got my Salma a gray scarf and she refused to let me put it on her. I saw this cutie on Celebrity Baby Scoop, she is Model Milla Jovovich's daughter and she looks adorable in her scarf.

Great gift...

My cousin Gina got Salma this super cool drawing book for her birthday! This is no ordinary coloring book, designed to spur creative thinking this book has playful drawings and funny scenarios that will get your imagination going! The fun to follow instructions range from a neighborhood picture that tells you "Its a beautiful day draw a bright sunny sky", the next page has the same neighborhood and the directions say " Today is not so nice draw a dark cloudy sky", very funny. This will be my go to gift for birthday presents, Scribbles, A Really Giant Drawing and Coloring Book by Taro Gomi.

Personal touch...

Loving this custom calligraphy stamp, comes from Primele. Great find for the home office, adds a sophisticated element to your letters. I found it while reading my daily fix of Moth Design who was blogging about an awesome giveaway from A Diary of Lovely.

The GOOP is back...

I was super excited to open my email and see a message from Goop with the subject GET! Fall is here and GP shares her finds. I know my picture skills are a tad ghetto but I do my best. My life as a stay at home mom has me in shorts and t-shirts all day so I was happy to see that I actually have trendy things in my closet and may I add similar to what GP is suggesting. Love her picks for Fall especially the shoes! My shoes are vintage Nine West (means I got them a long time ago). All my working girlfriends have Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo, considering I get paid in hugs and kisses Nine West is an awesome alternative.

First day of school...

Today was Jack's first day of kindergarten and although I was excited for this new beginning I was a bit sad to let him go, three O'clock couldn't come fast enough. Here are some pictures from his first day and his first piece of art that he brought home.

On tour...

Here is a picture of our ride home Saturday night, crossing the Throgs Neck Bridge. We started our day early, drove into Manhattan to my sisters super cool building, Hearst Tower to pick up a Mac Computer. From there we went to Astoria to check out our Friends new apartment and help them pick out paint, had a lovely lunch down the block at a brick oven pizza place. Took off to our next Destination of Floral Park to have a yummy Chinese food dinner(Jack's Favorite) at my Aunt and Uncles. They have three dogs and the kids just had a blast running around with them, although Jack is allergic, he kept coming in to wash his hands every time the dogs touched him, but he doesn't care he just loves dogs! Finally made it home, no traffic. Gave the kiddies a quick bath and off to bed.

Charmed...

I have been out of touch lately, getting my babies ready for school, "sigh". I wear two charms on a necklace, each with the initials of my kiddies, J for Jack and S for Salma. These were gifted to me by my husband for the births of each Bebe! My necklace is from Helen Ficalora whom I love! I stumbled upon this charm and I like it, I really really like it! Comes from Danielle Stevens Jewelry. Sadly my mother did not give me a middle name so my personal monogram would just be NC...not so cool.
