The Persian New Year is the most celebrated holiday in Iran, its the beginning of a new year and starts the first day of Spring "Nowruz" meaning New Day. Here on the blog The Local Rose, naturalist and activist Shiva Rose highlights the beauty of this holiday and the food. Persian food is my absolute favorite cuisine. The New Year happened already back in March but looking at these pictures make me so happy and proud to be Iranian, I just had to share... I'm so hungry now!
