Can't live without...

One of my absolute favorite things that I can't live without is my lip balm! I seriously have one in every room of my home and every bag I carry, kid you not. Kiehl's #1 Lip Balm is the bomb and they just so happen to be celebrating a big birthday, 40 years of keeping it real smooth! Old school...

I love looking at old pictures from my parents youth. Here my mother is with her cousins walking in downtown Bogotá, Colombia. My mother looks so sophisticated and she is just 15 yrs old, kids surely don't dress like this anymore! My mother is on the far left in the first picture, far right in the second and middle spot in the third photo!

A great weekend to all...

This is my son Jack holding sweet baby Lucy. Anytime my kids are around a baby all I hear is how they want a baby of their own. Jack just ran a list of his demands "I want a goldfish, a baby, a cat and a dog." I told him he is allergic to all those things but he ain't buying it.

2011 IKEA catalog...

I love me a trip to Ikea and was super excited to see a sneak peak of their 2011 line up on www.casasugar.com. I'm feeling the new KIVIK sofa for my playroom, super bien! 2011 here I come!

Pretty sweet...

Sorry I haven't blogged as frequently as I'd like but its been HOT and Ive been rockin' it at my pool club! Also my Internet connection is G to the H to the ETTO... but finally got on and was able to read my daily blogs and got lots of fun 411 for you all! Rikshaw Design is having a HUGE summer sale, truly a must see and get. My other blog crush Two Ellie just re-did her little girls room and it is super cute, LOVE, love the curtains! MadebyGirl posted the most adorable cupcake recipe from Spearmint Baby that will make my kiddies smile from ear to ear, looking forward to trying it out.  Shout out to my girl Margaret, you better try this recipe out and then invite me over for another play date. Stay cool kids!

Deserving gifts...

I am all for the "push" present. I mean seriously you grow another human being in your belly and then it has to come out! So damn straight a present for that task is in order! My dear friend Julie will be having baby number two in a few weeks and she called me to help investigate a beautiful bracelet that she saw on Angie Harmon in this months Good Housekeeping(which actually the pictures are from an original shoot for a summer issue of Town and Country last year). Well to make a long story short (too late) the bracelet is a fancy antique that cost $19,500. Needless to say she wont be getting that from her husband, but we did find a suitable substitute. This one comes from designer Katie Costello.

My new love...

I heart this MZ Wallace bag! My friend Amber rocks this bag so hard it makes me cry happy tears every time I see her with it and I was just in a Chipotle in Rye Brook getting take out and I saw another woman with the same bag but in beige (perhaps that is a sign that this bag is meant for me). I hope my hubby is reading my blog. Love you babe!

A Moroccan pouf that is affordable! Nate Berkus has designed a metallic pouf that he will be selling on HSN. Apparently he sold this item back in April and it sold out to rave reviews. Long live the pouf because now this item will return in August. Can't wait!

Cover girl...

I heart GP! She is one of my favorites and I love everything she does, next months cover of Vogue features the fabulously talented Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress is coming out with a cookbook and I look forward to getting it, I have done countless recipes from her online site GOOP and have never been disappointed! Looking forward to reading this issue.

Glamour was the game and Valentino was his name! Last nights Valentino Garavani Archives dinner party in Versailles France (so bummed I couldn't make it) brought out some beautiful stars. Both Gwyneth and Jessica wore gorgeous Valentino Gowns, long, ruffled and so Oh La La! Which is your favorite? I love GP in the pink!

Jennifer Garner is such a pretty gal and she really knows how to get dolled up for a night out! I always see pictures of her about town with her kids wearing jeans and no makeup and she still looks good, then you put her on a red carpet and you get stunning!
